Aggies need to earn their stripes

They have one mediocre FOOTBALL season in the SEC and they think they own the place. Congrats on the cotton bowl victory.
First, realize there are more sports in the SEC than football, and TAMU is bad at most of them.
Second, don't be mad aggies, you are just trying to hard to impress us. Just relax and earn the respect of the SEC by playing instead of forcing it on everybody by talking on the rant

it was a good season. Heisman trophy winner is legit.
but other than that, it was the best 3rd place finish ever and the Aggies are already a dynasty because of it.

really not trying to troll, just saying the majority of aggie posters on here think their football team is the best there ever was, and that is all they talk about

I understand their excitement. Heck, I'd be happy too after getting out of the SWC & Big 12 and getting into the best Conference in the U.S. BUT, I think reality will hit them this Fall. We shall see.

Mediocre =/= 11-2, #5 final AP/coaches poll ranking, Cotton Bowl rout, 8 pts off undefeated season, Outland Trophy, Heisman Trophy. No one is saying we "own the place" but with a strong nucleus coming back and the best recruiting class we've had in 15 years (with 2014 class currently #1), there is reason for optimism going forward.
And yet we are the 2nd best Athletic Dept in the SEC behind only Florida, according to Director's Cup standings for the past 5+ years. We field a Top 25 team in almost every sport, every year.
The only sport we are "bad" at this year is Men's Basketball. Women's basketball won the SEC tourney and is a 2/3 seed in the NCAA. Women's volleyball and soccer both won the SEC West division. Finished #4 in country at NCAA indoor tourney. Outdoor track has been elite for the past 4 years (including 6 total NCAA titles). Both tennis teams are very strong this year (#11 and #3 currently). Softball is kicking arse (#5). In short, GFY.
