Assuming everyone holds serve, it will be UF, MU, UK and winner of OM/Bama. UT can sneak in by winning out and winning 1 or 2 in the tourney.

Do they have a bracket for the NIT play-in out yet. I know we're on the bubble.

Palm much better then Lunardi IMO. I think right now Tenn > Ole miss right now.

Kentucky needs to either win @Arkansas or at home against Florida. I don't think they can afford to lose both. Winner of Alabama/Ole Miss probably gets in, whoever wins can not afford more than one loss though (Alabama's will be tomorrow) and will need to win a game or two in Nashville. Ole Miss probably needs to win out in the regular season including the Alabama game, they can't afford a loss @LSU or obviously @MSU.

Do head-to-head results not matter at all?

Works for me, we were a 3 seed in 06.

We beat Tenn 2 times this year so that doesn't matter

Honestly, not really. They aren't just comparing Tennessee and Ole Miss, they're comparing them in a group of a bunch of different teams. It's just based on resumes. Maybe if Ole Miss and Tennessee were the last two teams fighting for one spot they'd consider head to head more. I know from experience when we beat UGA the last game of the regular season in 2011 and again in the SECt and they still got in over us

I think we beat them by 18 points in Knoxville and 7 points in Oxford.. Solid troll attempt though.

There is not shite they can do about that. It's going to happen.

To be fair he said "right now." And again, that won't be a huge consideration for the committee.
Hypothetically to expand on what I said in an earlier post about head to head, say you have four spots open for Tennessee, Ole Miss, Villanova, Temple, and Virginia. If they decide that, in order, Virginia, Tennessee, and Villanova have the best resumes, those three teams are in. That will leave Temple and Ole Miss to fight for the last spot. They won't say "well Ole Miss beat Tennessee twice so let's take UT out and put Ole Miss in." You could play the head to head game with all the bubble teams for all of eternity.

Then why not just say frick it and play a 10 game regular season?

I took "right now" to mean total resume.
SOS
Tennessee: 24
Ole Miss: 123
Non-conference SOS
Tennessee: 34
Ole Miss: 262
RPI
Tennessee: 53
Ole Miss: 55
vs top 50
Tennessee: 3-4
Ole Miss: 1-4
Maybe if it was a ten game season head to head would matter more
Whole body of work looks better for UT right now.

See UGA/Alabama 2010/2011 for your answer.

Strangely enough, if UT moves in to the top 50 RPI, OM and UT would have identical top 50 RPI records.

A 3 for Florida is very reasonable. That said, just hope no more injuries for this UF team when the tournament is near
