Caught the very tail end of a ESPN radio report and I thought that's what they said

Of course he did. Alabama has 100 scholarship players. They have to get down to 85 some how.

One of the many ways that Saban is like Mullen in that they don't tolerate tomfoolery or thuggery.

Doesn't matter. Those guys were fricking goners based on what they allegedly did. Saban wanting or not wanting to keep them was irrelevent.

They were banned from campus and expelled from school. Saban has no significance relative to these circumstances.
There has been plenty of bad press. These idiots ruined their lives and put a black eye on their former school.
