It doesn't really matter what A&M does, UT will always be the premier university in the state.

I don't understand why anybody would think this is an important question. Texas is plenty big enough for both schools and several more. I've never felt like UT "owns" Texas any more than I feel like A&M owns Texas now. With the OP being an MSU fan the question is understandable: Mississippi really isn't big enough for MSU, Ole Miss, and USM to all be good or even mediocre. There just aren't enough people.

It has been mentioned before, and I agree that A&M's move to the SEC ultimately hurts OU more than anybody. Which is good.

To me a much better question is which team owns the other. Here's hoping Mack stays around for 10 more years and Ole Miss beats the hell out of UT at Austin.
