Kerwin Stricker and Jared Parham have left the team.
Newsome will wear #25 in honor of Aaron O'Neal.

Dang. I liked the potential of those 2.

I'm thinking we need a good bagman and an alum to start offering high-paying, low-expectations jobs to recruits parents. Oh, and a booster in real estate development that can come up with houses. Damn it!

Both were buried on the depth chart and getting passed by younger players.
Also, I think Newsome is our next star linebacker.

Just looking at the roster, we have 23 OL for 5 spots. We have 9 QB's for 1 spot and 10 RB's for one spot. That's adding in the incoming class we know of. I know it's pointless and a lot of those are walk ons and won't be on the final roster, just found it interesting. Of course my thought was, shouldn't we drop the QB's by 2 or 3 and the RB's by 3 or 4 and add those 5-7 numbers to the OL.

We really only have 5 qbs and 5 rbs

I get that. I just wonder why fill up the "roster" with more QB's and RB's instead of OL. Not a big deal. Just something that made me go hmmmmm.

Looks like we are putting weight on our offensive lineman. So many people complained when our average weight along the line was under 300 lbs. Looks like that won't be the case this year. Maybe we are serious about running the ball more.

To succeed in the SEC, we'd better be serious about running the ball. Henson knows this. He's been around the SEC for a while now and will get this offense going in the right direction. I still think we run the spread, but we'll see less 4 and 5 WR looks and less designed QB runs. JF (when healthy) is better running the ball as a 3rd or 4th option...not a 1st or 2nd option.

The best part of Henson's offense will be the new QB. Thank goodness the Franklin experiement is over.

Notsince98 is that confirmed?
And any final word on Abbington? is he finally going to be a RB?

Franklin should never have seen the field last year. His injuries were that bad. They rushed him back, and he just got reinjured, again and again.
If he's healthy, I expect him to be the starter over Berk or a RS freshman.
Someone over on TB is now questioning whether Abbington will qualify, Augusta too. It seems Augusta's ACT isn't high enough yet. This is the first question I've heard about Abbington.
