OT: Hotlanta vs. Nawlins

Let's see how long this lasts before it gets hacked by the offended.
We all know that Saintards have created this "rivalry" between not only the Saints and Falcons, but the cities themselves. I absolutely dislike New Orleans. I think it's ghetto, dirty, smells bad, the culture is overrated, the Superdome is jank, and the city is the murder capital of the United States.
Is there anything I'm missing?

Don't forget that the French quarter smells like piss and vomit.

That goes back longer than the NFL.

Way to rile the Saints fans on the MSB

Sure parts of it are. But isn't every?
New Orleans is primarily ghetto and dirty. There are small parts around ATL that are dirty. The majority isn't.

More money in ATL than New Orleans will ever see.

I dunno, if we're talking about Atlanta Proper (inside city limits), there's a lot of ghetto to soak in.
Honestly, I think Atlanta vs New Orleans is a tallest midget kind of argument.

Read up on it and educate yourself.

Entirely because of the govt. jacking all of our oil/gas money. We could be a small country if not for the feds.

You are young. New Orleans and Atlanta have had a 'battle' for a 100 years at least.

Dude. All of it is

New Orleans if far, far from a clean city but ATL is pretty gritty in its own right
ETA: Don't get me wrong: If I have to pick a dog in the fight, I'm picking the ATL by virtue of it being my hometown. But lets call it what it is

I don't like ATL like most of us here... I'm just arguing that it's better than New Orleans.
And yes. that isn't saying much, considering how awful New Orleans is.
There are tons of places I'd rather live than ATL obviously. But then again, I'm not a city person.
And the fact that ATL has been consistently one of the fastest growing cities in America must show some sort of relevancy to my argument. More yankees than ever.
That is all.

Atlanta is home to 10 fortune 500 companies...NO has a total of 1...not even close to compare the wealth between
the 2 cities.
NO coulda been what Houston is but didn't have the ambition or work ethic.

I mean, like I said, it's my hometown and I have logged a frickton of hours within its confines over the course of my life.
But there are many times when I'm ready to get the frick out of dodge because I can't take the griminess of it.

You didn't fix shite. The money our state would have from oil/gas would be ridiculous. We also would end the entitlement crap right away.
That would lead to a mass exodous of the 'takers'.
Add in Sugar production, plus tourism, we would be fine. We also trot out some big time military bases throughout the state. I have worked at almost all of them.
We would be a country envied actually.

I'm from Atlanta, so I could live there if I had to, and I would certainly live there over NOLA, but I'd rather not.
