See…I think this list is pretty bogus myself. One of the most beautiful cities I have ever been to in the state of Alabama was the city of Guntersville. I wouldn't mind living there some day.

I knew you were a Calhoun County redneck.

Oxford isn't as redneck as most of the other cities in Calhoun County. Definitely not as redneck as Piedmont, Ohatchee or Weaver.

You and hunter should get a place together. I am pretty sure that's his dream area as well

Talk about a tallest midget competition. I'd vote for Perdido and along the coast to Gulf Shores. Can't imagine living in Bama though, that would be the suck.
I've lived in both Alabama and Texas. Just about everyone I knew in Texas came to Alabama or the panhandle for vacation. I don't know anyone in Alabama that goes to Texas for anything other than family/business/away games. Every state has great places to live, assuming you can afford it.

Dumb comparison.
I'd rather live in a nice house on St. Charles Avenue uptown than some dump within walking distance of Legion Field.
The true comparison is fancy shite to fancy shite, and as far as fancy shite goes, New Orleans sorta beats out the rest of the South. The nicer parts of New Orleans > the nicer parts of most American cities.

Daphne is a beautiful place, but damn some of the rudest people to ever walk the earth live there.

Agree. But for the cost of a modest house on St Charles, you could have a 8,000 square foot house in Homewood, Daphne, etc.

I lived in Auburn while attending school during the Tuberville era. Since then I've lived in Manhattan Beach, Big Sur, and Boise.

It's sort of like Texas, but with more trees and fewer Mexicans.

Jasper has to be in a commanding first place for shitholes in Alabama. It makes Starkville look like fricking Nashville.

I've wondered if this is one of those local legends.
I've never seen an actual photograph of this alleged sign.

They aren't legend around the south, I've seen one in person. Not culmans though, but I do know a few folks from there though.
