Solid win on the road by the Ags. Kennedy coached a hell of a game to come back from such a large deficit. Eliminate the sloppy turnovers and don't shoot ice cold from three and it would have been a big win. An impressive showing of heart

I liked the defensive effort in the second half. If this team understands that if they will play with all out intensity on the defensive end, good things will happen on offense.

So you admit that BK is about to bring in a bunch of talent and lead us to the tournament (aka the Cotton Bowl)?

I said in another thread that if we didn't win tonight that we wouldn't win again.

I'm still sticking with 5-13 in conference.

Not at all. I was looking at it through the frame of that year.

We did show some heart and a little grit, I'll grant you that. Harris and Roberson both played their tails off.

Aside from that, the game was truly hard to watch. The amount of turnovers committed by each side was atrocious.

Mississippi State wanted to lose this game more than we wanted to lose this game. Any decent team would have blown us out of the gym by at least 20. We should be thankful that the Grinders can't make a layup.

But a win is a win, right? Take our blessings as we find them, I suppose.

Edit: to praise Caruso for his Chris Walker-like performance.

I'm gonna wait to see how we do after the next four game stretch. We've got the three best non-Florida teams in the SEC and a rematch with Georgia. If we make it out of that 2-2 I might start rethinking Kennedy.

No argument from me on the turnovers, but how could you not be impressed with Reese at the end of regulation and in OT? I am hoping that what he showed is him mentally turning the corner.

last night, in the second half, we finally saw some of our guys driving to the basket. something that has been missing all year. you need the penetration to open everything else up instead of just passing the ball around the key and jacking up a contested shot with a few seconds left on the shot clock. on defense they were getting into the passing lanes which allowed them to finally start getting steals and easy buckets on the break. i still want to see more of an effort of getting the ball inside to our bigs instead of just looking them off and passing the ball around the key. unless andrew young is on the block, then yeah, don't pass him the ball.

We actually penetrated several times during UGA, but Reese and Fabyon stopped and passed back out to a covered shooter instead of taking the shot ... drove me fricking nuts.

Just as it didnt matter that Fran beat Texas in 2007, nothing Kennedy can do at this point will save him. Sure, if we completely turned it around and made a huge run it could. He is simply not capable of orchestrating that, though.

I'm as sure of his status as a failed hire as I was of Fran. There are some who will always flip back to the coach's side after any and every win, but towing the line doesnt allow one to see the big picture.

Bump. Amazing what we can do when we don't shoot ice cold.

Even I can't complain about making that douchebag Henderson cry.
