Who's the next great Arkansas running back?

Remember when Cedric Cobb left we all wondered who could possibly replace him? We get McFadden, Jones, and Hillis. Then those guys leave, who could possibly fill those shoes right? We get Knile Davis. Davis goes down. Can anyone pick up the slack? Dennis Johnson averages nearly 6 a carry. So now with those two gone, who's the next great Arkansas runningback? We always seem to have a guy come out of nowhere. Very rarely have I seen a lull as far as lack of skill in the backfield in all my years of following Razorback football. Any predictions?

J Will avgd 5.1 as a freshman, so I'll go with him.

J Will showed a glimpse this year. He should really shine this next year.

Jwill has GREAT vision from what I could see last season...and he showed surprising power. If he holds up, he's going to rack up yards regardless of who we sign.

Yep JWill should have been getting more carries last season. It will be nice to actually have a coherent RB rotation with this staff. I never understood the method to their madness the last 5 seasons.

You left out Michael Smith, he was a pretty good back in the time between DMac/Felix and Knile. I'll always remember that Auburn game in Fayetteville, Smith went ham and Nelson ripped that guy's helmet off and swung it around like a wild animal.

Yep, Smith was really good. His big downside was that he was pretty useless in goal line situations, but that may have been due in part to our offensive line.

It was pretty easy to see. Anyone who started getting things going got put on the bench. I also loved the toss sweep in to the short side of the field on 1st down every series. It really helps you out to have 2nd and 11 so that everyone knows you are passing and can just tee off on Tyler.

I really like J Will and if we get Collins they could be kind of a thunder and lightning combo much like DMac and Felix. Difference being Dmac and Felix were similar backs in some ways. I think Collins and Jwill are much different. The film I've seen of Collins is Power/Speed with a punishing body. Jwill is not physically as imposing but he's a little faster (or so it seems). Tenpenny seems to be a mix of the two... It would be sweet to have all 3.

I remember being in the stands and seeing D-mac break loos for the first time...it was slow developing and looked like he had nowhere to go. I was already thinking that he was about to get destroyed, and then he slipped left and then right to the sideline. It looked like he wasn't even really running that fast with his long strides, and he just left everyone for about 60 for a TD. A little bit of pee trickled out, and I knew he was going to be a good back.
Anytime a player makes a little bit of pee trickle out, you know he's going to be a good one. J Will is good, but so far..no pee.

I'm sayin DMac and Felix were similar in that they were both speed backs... DMac had more power between the tackles but he still liked to get outside and showcase his speed. They weren't identical but they were more alike than say JWill and Collins.
