How does that all-time record disprove my point?

It more than almost anything proves that at one point Arky was a relevant program.

Well since y'all started playing each other annually again, they've won 3/4...

It wasn't me that tried to make up for football championships by throwing in basketball.

BTW, A&M had 15 baseball Titles to 2 for Arky.

How much time passes before Texas is nothing but a memory?
As piggy above me just stated, some Arkansas fans still hate Texas more than they'll ever hate an SEC team. Arky-Texas was bitter bitter bitter. Probably more bitter for people in my family and people living in the area of my family since they grew up in Texarkana. Arkansas High-Texas High is still a HUGE thing. Got on ESPN it was such a bad rivalry.

How is considering a rivalry in more than one sport "throwing in"? Sorry A&M isn't a well-rounded athletic department like Arkansas and Texas. Keep throwing your money into your football program. One day you'll get a stadium that will fit in the SEC, then you can start working on your other sports. One step at a time, right?

Well seeing as how A&M has been nationally relevant all of one football season I still don't know what you are getting at.

I suppose when the 'grey hairs' start checking out, that'll fade a bit.

Texas has a 35 game advantage in its series against Arkansas and a 39 game advantage in its series against A&M. Texas dominated both programs. Hard to call either a rivalry. Still, if pressed, from a historical perspective, more game against Arkansas mattered.

Texas only has a 16 game advantage in its series against OU so that is more of a rivalry.

Probably, although there have been whispers of trying to get the rivalry started again. If you get the time, look up the 09 game between Arkansas and Texas in basketball on YouTube. The rivalry is still there.

Odd how Texas fans rooted their hearts out for their "rival" to beat their non-rival aggy in the cotton bowl. Funny how that works.

So Texas paid more attention to A&M 20 years after Arkansas left the conference? NOWAI!

Without even looking I am willing to put forth a ban bet that A&M has won more national titles and has had a higher average Capital One Cup finish the last five years than Arky.

Two little brothers fighting over big brothers heart after he disowned them both. Pathetic.

It's only been around for a couple of years. And UF won both of them.

I will grant you that Texas is the best school to hate. Every SWC school hated Texas, how could you not? It's like the Dallas Cowboys, you either love them or hate them but the line of people that hate them is long.

The problem was that Texas just didn't care much about Arky and really Arky wasn't the 2nd best team in the SWC. A few big games over many decades does not make a rivalry. Also, 15 Titles (only 7 outright) in 76 years in a conference does not exactly make you the big dog.

I'd also be careful about throwing around that all time record thing. Sumlin might hear about it and decide not to take out JFF early this time and instead try to put up 100.

In 2011 we were in the top 5 in two of the big three sports. When's the last time that happened in Aggieland?

Also, I loved your convenient time frame when judging entire athletic programs.

National Championships:

Arkansas: 42
Aggieland: 14

Why are you replying to me? I admitted the Arky rivalry was bigger when we all three were in the SWC.

No wait, I forgot. You don't put any thought into posts about the Aggies. You just put on your dumb cap and shite out whatever hate is flowing through your black veins that day.

Continue as planned...
