He isn't and you are doing nothing but what OM fans want you to do. Throwing gasoline on the fire and trying to get fans to talk negatively about Chris.

Please STOP posting stuff like this.

Why do you think it's Chris? Please say why?

It's not Jones

I get so tired of our fans acting like Little Brother...they prey on too many of our fan's insecurities

We are averaging 8 wins a season the last 3 years
Last year's and this year's recruiting classes are among our best
We've hired some good coaches

It really couldn't be any better for us right now- but you can't tell our own fans this...simply amazing

Who is it then?

The last few years we haven't done very good with big name recruits that we both go head to head against.

That isn't being little brother, that is just stating facts.

Seriously? I guess you missed the last half of our season.

Right. Because they didn't want Quay Evans, Richie Brown, Beniquez Brown, Coman, Will Redmond, Nick James, Autry, and Jefferson last year. Those are just the ones they put the full court press on.

But, but, but they got a Madison Central and South Panola player in 2011 -- and flipped our stud from Philadelphia after we lost his lead recruiter(Hud) AND defensive coordinator/position coach(Diaz) -- so we are forever inclined to be their bitch in recruiting.

See how ignorant this sounds when you actually sit down and look at the big picture?

no idea- I dont follow their recruiting that close...but I do have a pretty good pulse on ours

Quay Evans
AJ Jefferson
Richie Brown
Dee Arrington
will Redmond
Fred Brown

Those guys disagree and that's just off the top of my head. Quay flipped on them just like CJ did us- but they whine about it a helluva lot less than we do- can you explain why?

Go back to my last sentence- yes it is

We lost to 3 teams that have recruited better than us and are simply- better than us. We lost to our rival on the their home field- where both teams are 6-1 the last 14 years. And our QB gave away the bowl game.

We are not going to beat top 10 SEC teams often. shite- how many top 10 SEC wins does Ole Miss have in the last 10 years? Florida with Tebow- is there another? Maybe Eli- their best QB in the history of the school and overall #1 draft pick- but it wasnt memorable if he did...

8-9 wins is definitely our ceiling and I'm fine with it- beats the frick out of 3-4 win seasons. We just have to hope we can put together that 1 special group that comes along every 20 years for us. Having recruiting classes like last year and now this year gives us a chance at that.

08 Florida
09 LSU
02 Florida

Those are the only ones in the SEC that I can think of. We also beat #7 Texas Tech in the Cotton Bowl.

I agree 100% with everything Coonass posted.

Requiem you seem to act as if you think our current class is terrible

You also seem to forget those 3-4 win seasons.

Everybody has that ceiling. It's the 3 games that you have to excel to win.

For us, it's LSU and BAma,plus the hot team of the year or a eastern team like USC this year for us.

For bama, it's going to be LSU and an eastern team with one out of conference team.

I'd be happy with a few top 20s.
Who did we beat with a pulse this year?

i

I said big name guys, so you can eliminate Coman and Jefferson. Redmond didn't have an offer from them. All those guys are from last year anyway when Nutt quit recruiting and Freeze hardly had any time to.

Over the last few years it is pretty telling where the elite in state talent goes:

Moncrief
CJ
Ward
Brassell
Sanders
Singleton
Patterson
Morris

Not to say our class isn't good this year, but history shows they routinely recruit better than us.

and 02 Florida didnt finish ranked in AP, while 2009 LSU finished 17th

We have 15 losses the last 3 years- 11 of them to teams that FINISHED in the top 15. 2 more to teams ranked in the top 20- Georgia and Northwestern...and then on the road to Auburn and Mississippi

As I have pointed out numerous times- recruiting at Miss State is better the year AFTER we go to a bowl game.

no nowl game in 2004- low ranked class in Feb, 2005
no bowl game in 2005- low ranked class in Feb, 2006
no bowl game in 2006- low ranked class in Feb, 2007
Bowl game in 2007- low ranked class in Feb, 2008
no bowl in 2008- really good class in Feb 2009
no bowl game in 2009- low ranked class in Feb, 2010
bowl game in 2010- low ranked class in Feb, 2011
bowl game in 2011- really good class in Feb, 2012
bowl game in 2012- really good class in Feb, 2013

Bowl game in 2007 led to good recruiting in 2009
Bowl game in 2010 led to a good class in 2012
bowl game in 2011 led to a good class now in 2013
Our recruiting is off to a good start in 2014- why? we went to a bowl game this year

Bowl games lead to Miss State recruiting success- we have to keep the string alive and the recruiting will indeed keep getting better.

I'm praying for one this year. Those shitty classes 10 and 11 classes are starting to show up on the field.
