Got it. So your list of "legit" championships include zero organizations that existed in 1919 or 1927.

False. Bama won the AP and the UPI title in 1964. Arkansas finished #2.

AP was awarded before bowl games.

Bama was #1 going into their bowl and then lost their bowl game.

Arkansas was #2 going into their bowl game and won.

So common sense says post bowl game standings would be

1)Arkansas
2)Texas
3)Bama
4)Michigan
5)LSU

Fine. And common sense would say that a team that was undefeated and unscored upon would win the National title. So it's 3-1. That's fine by me.

So why does your school NEVER claim that title then move to the SEC and claim it?

That's actually pretty funny.

I realized only too late that the thread had become a mud hole infested with pigs - and aggies who are too stupid to realize it's not a good idea to wrestle with pigs in the mud.

We now see that your argument for simultaneously give Arkansas credit for '64 while denying A&M credit for '19 and '27 has been reduced to this: If A&M had really won the NC, they would not have waited until last year to claim it.

What a horrible argument. National championships are anachronistic. Nobody cared about them in 1919 and 1927. But people do now, and they keep up with them historically. We never claimed them because it never seemed that big of a deal. Over time, it came to matter a little more. So, we started accepting the titles that had been granted to those teams by organizations that have no affiliation with A&M. It's obvious that those teams deserve it, just as it is obvious that Bama would not have won the AP poll had they voted after the bowl games.

University of Missouri is the 97th ranked university in the nation. How do you hold your hat on that? I graduated from UGA last year and am currently taking courses at Washington University in St. Louis to obtain my MBA. The academics are no better here, at WashU, than at UGA. This city is literally a shite hole, and don't even get me started on east St. Louis and the strip clubs over there. There were, literally, heroine needles in the streets. The state of Missouri is far from special. The fact that a resident of the state holds its "superiority" out amongst others must be a troll move. Missouri is Illinois' trash can and it will remain as such, until the end of time.

@ the above.

UGA is not equal to Wash U in any dimension you may be living on at the present time.

also: AAU Mizzou>UGA

Atlanta is a shithole and a racist paradise.

They didn't matter in 2008 but in 2012 they were important enough!
