I tell you what...the Ole Miss fans were out in force Sunday morning too. The brunch at Cheesecake Factory looked like an Ole Miss pep rally in The Grove. I was impressed.

It was a shitty stadium, but we made the bowl look legit.
I did fear for my life while walking to the stadium. I parked in front of some crazy looking crack houses. Looked like First 48 could have been filmed there.

Sorry for being poor. Don't park in front of my house next time.

It wouldn't have been too bad if you would clean all that garbage off your porch and use a weed eater around the house every now and then.

That's obvious. Strength and Conditioning has changed so much, even in just the past 10 years. Players are physically faster, stronger, and bigger than they were back then.
That being said, that Nebraska team was the most dominant team ever.

Only one of its three title-clinching wins came in an actual 1 vs. 2 game (the infamous 62-24 beatdown of Florida in '95). In both '94 (Penn State) and '97 (Michigan) the Cornhuskers avoided facing undefeated Big Ten teams that were ranked No. 1 or 2, instead beating No. 3 Miami (10-1) in the Orange Bowl in '94 and No. 3 Tennessee (11-1) in that same bowl in '97.
All three for Bama were #1 vs #2. Everyone focuses on the win loss record, but this is an important point. [/quote]
Great point. Counts for something! And don't forget that 2009 BAMA team beat the 3 previous BCS champs in the same year, several ranked teams, and ended undefeated seasons for UF & TX. 2009 may not even be our best team in this run, but I think they stand out as having the most impressive season of ANY BCS champ.

1995 Nebraska played 3 top 10 teams (Colorado, K Schtate, and kU) in conference and it's OOC conference schedule included Michigan State, Arizona State, Washington State and Florida.
I'm not sure that's an easier schedule than Bama's in 2011.

Congrats to Ole Miss on a HUGE win in the BBVA Compass Bowl. Nothing says, "Hey you've arrived!", quite like a win in the BBVA Compass Bowl in Birmingham. Also, 1995 Nebraska would pound any Saban team. Hell, 1995 Florida would beat 2012 Bama (as would 2012 A&M).

I'm not sure the Rant is the best place to ask for perspective on Bama's dynasty.

would be hard-pressed to do that if they had played in today's era.
Not if they had Bamas soft arse schedule year in year out ..
