If you had to pick one or the other to be your HC, who would it be?

Spurrier. Sabah is a meanie who gets lucky for his success. Spurrier had a bigger challenge at Florida and had greater success.

Right now? Anyone who doesn't say saban is an idiot.

If you asked "who is the better coach in SEC history" well..that's a pretty great topic for discussion as both sides can make very strong claims over the other.

Saban is the only coach in major college football history to win national championships at two different schools and is the only coach in SEC history to win multiple conference titles at two different schools.

That's a pretty difficult legacy to top.

Bama fans can praise Saban but his term limit is about up. A whopping 6 years. He'll slip out the window and be back at Kent by '14.

Meh Saban went to LSU and then 'Bama. Imagined if Spurrier went to 'Bama after his run at UF and imagine where they'd be.

Oh and Spurrier is 3-1 vs Saban head to head.

saban.

but it's hard to overstate what spurrier has done at SC. where he has them now compared to where they have been historically is a tremendous accomplishment, sec champ or not.

I have a friend who played for Spurrier. He suggested my friend not spend so much time studying for classes. When he said he had to devote that much time to studying to stay in school Spurrier sent him out of his office and then his playing time dried up.

I would have to take Saban right now. When both were at the top of their game, it would be a tough call. Spurrier is till one hell of a coach though. What he's doing at USCe is very impressive.
