Not sure why SC dropped from 11 to 17, I guess some other programs jumped us during the course of one season. At any rate, the SEC still dominates:

A&M had to forgo all TV revenue from last year. Otherwise we'd be hovering around $85M.
Lord I can't wait to see what JFF has done for the 'ol bottom line.

Maybe it had something to do with the loss of Lattimore?

I just hung-up the phone with a buddy of mine who is a member of the SC Board of Visitors. He said the decline was because SC spent thirty something million last year on the farmers market renovation and the scoreboard that was deducted from the Athletic Department's coffers but, when completed, became capital property improvements for the University (the farmer's market, not the new video board) rather than the Athletic Department itself. He said we'll jump way back up after this year's revenues are tabulated for next year's ranking.

Alabama also ranks among the biggest supporters of academic programming. The athletic department contributed more than $5 million back to university initiatives last year.

Between that academic funding and football scholarships, the Gators directed more revenue to university spending than any other team on our list from a public university.
All about that college learn'in!!!

Kyle Field might reap the benefits.

Florida’s athletic department contributed a whopping $6.4 million to academic programming last year, and the athletic department has been responsible for $60 million in university contributions since 1990. Yeah, that's big. Definitely helps the Athletic Department shine in the eyes of the scum bag academics.

Alabama and Auburn combined worth $180,000,000.
That's not too bad.

With this news the SEC could easily have 8 of the top 12 next year with aTm getting to count TV revenue.

Be nice if the State had same priority for the University. But, Geaux Tigers, I guess.
