Just saw his Catholic church commercial.
Now I get why he's always had a hard-on for Notre Dame moreso than the other places hes been.

People give ol' Lou a hard time... but I love him.
He's hilarious, and he's incredibly smart. He has a lisp, and says some off the wall things, but he's great at what he does.

None worse than Lou Holtz. Half the time you try to understand him, the other half you realize how terrible he is at his job. The guy is in dire need of Poly Grip for those dentures. One day the 3D viewers of ESPN will finally get use for 3D when a pair of flying dentures comes right at the viewers face.

Were you raised by a single mom? Seems you missed out on the lessons about respect for your elders.

I respect elders as in people that have a valuable opinion. Lou Holtz has no such thing.

I have no problem with you criticizing his opinions, even though he knows a hell of a lot more about football than you do. However, to criticize him in a personal manner, like your comments about his dentures, is nothing but immature, cowardly commentary. You should know better.

So do you disagree that he has zero business being on tv? He is by far the worst commentator on tv. You can't understand what he is saying, and he is too busy focusing on his Dr. Lou sessions than to focus on real football. The man is a side show on ESPN. And that is saying something when you are ESPN's sideshow.

When a person puts himself on public display, especially as a football analyst/commentator, he becomes a celeb. As such, he's fair game to any & all, as long as his family is left out of it. ESPN shoves him down our throats, and it's only natural for his whole schtick to get ripped as bad as it is. And I've never heard anyone call him "intelligent".

Amen Brother. Exactly correct. I love him too. He's different, he's unique, he's genuine and he doesn't mind being a homer. He's incredibly loyal to every place he's coached, except maybe Arkansas, and he definitely does know college football.
Good dynamic going between Mark May and him as well. I keep waiting for him to come flying out of his chair one day and throw a beatin' on May.
