watching this on ESPNU and Ole Miss really did not want to integrate. It seems like the main reasoning was that it was the culture in the deep south, but I never really heard anything about Miss. St. being that resistant to the point where they are rioting

MSU integrated 3 years after OM... Wish they would've done it 3 yrs before us so they could be the focus of all this negative media spin

While Ole Miss was holding riots against integration, MSU's basketball team was sneaking out in the middle of night to play Loyola in Chicago despite a state mandate that college athletic teams could not compete against integrated teams.

You Aggies really like to start threads about Ole Miss being a bunch of racists. Deflecting something?

Yeah, the same bullshite happened in Alabama and Arkansas too......but Ole Miss is an easy mark.
As far as the State College Maroon faithful's revisionist history about that basketball game....if it makes them feel good........
