No, what you lack is the character to admit that you were wrong. I have no idea whether or not it is harder to get into UT than it is to get into other SEC schools. I do know that the quote from the OP has nothing at all to do with academic entrance requirements.
Edit: I am sorry for my rudeness. I did start this with my initial post to you, and I apologize for that. But I have no idea how you read the quote posted by the OP and come to the conclusion that they are talking about entrance requirements.
