On another note, did anyone else recognize how low A&Ms level of play dropped to when JFF wasn't in the game? They looked like a completely different team, and not in a good way.

Teams now have a year of film on him. Enjoy it now because it will end next season.

I hear you, but that doesn't necessarily mean that teams will be able to do anything about it. Maybe they will? I don't know, but I think it's something else.

I think it's not about film, but personnel.

Here's my quick analysis. Feel free to beat the shite out of it, cuz I'm no expert:

1. Johnny can circumcise a gnat with his passes. Dude is fricking accurate.
2. Defenses CANNOT blitz him. It opens lanes and he takes off running.

Why does that make him hard to defend? Defenses are forced to allow a very accurate passer to sit back in the pocket with all-day throwing time. If you try to press him and get out of your DL lanes, he will run for 20 yards. You can't drop into dime coverage and 3 DLs to press the pocket or he runs right by you. Then, there's the A&M running attack, which features 3-4 RBs who were highly rated coming out of high school.

There is no big secret to beating JFF. It's a question of whether the personnel can do it. Defense that have the personnel (a)run man coverage for the entire game, (b)contain JFF with 4 DLs and maybe a spy, and (c) are able to stop the run with those 4 DLs, can stop JFF. (see LSU and Florida)

I think all the film in the world is not going to help you beat JFF. You've got to be deep at the DB positions (fatigue issues) and have a monster D line and/or fast-as-frick LBs.

He's correct. There is no magical scheme to stop him. You need fast as hell CBs to keep up with our receivers, big and fast DEs, and fast LBs. If you don't have those, we will just run by you. Only the best of the best Ds in the country can slow him down.

Johnny Football has proven more durable, sadly, than C-Mike who, judging by his size and conditioning, should've been darn near indestructible.

Some players are simply injury prone. Some aren't. That's not something you can coach.

No It was only your imagination.

Seriously will he go four years with this "well he won the Heisman this year but wait til next year"?

He'll probably break George Blanda's record for being the oldest QB.

Dang, whatever will we do now that everybody has tape on us. Johnny will not evolve at all and our offense won't change a bit. We aren't recruiting any new talent. Dang we are fricked!

Keep thinking that way, I like it.

Manziel 1.0 film footage isn't going to help you much trying to defend Manziel 2.0.

Bama pretty much shut down his running after the 20 point explosion in the 1st quarter and held A&M to 9 points but his passing was pinpoint accurate in the 2nd half and was the difference in the game. Darned if you do and darned if you don't.

We even outgained A&M but still lost. I would hate him be he seems to be a class act.

JFF is so fast he plays rock, paper, scissors in front of the mirror and STILL wins.
