What will the rest of the country do when 3 of the 4 playoff teams are SEC?

Two years in a row the SEC has 3 of the top 4 teams headed into the last week of the season. Last year with 1. LSU, 2. Bama, 3. Arky.
This year with 1. ND, 2. Bama, 3. UGA, 4. UF.
They act as if the playoff system is going to expose the SEC. If anything, it's going to make it even easier to keep the streak going. I can't wait for 2014.

Piss and moan just like they do now.
Of course that whole "preference to conference champions" bit that keeps coming up will try to put the breaks on it.

We're going to end up with more bullshite automatic bid crap like we have with the BCS bowls now. We'll end up with only 1 SEC team in every year regardless.
And if it does end up just taking the top 4 automatically, they'll change it after we continue to send 2-3 teams a year and win it every year constantly.

There is a full blown melt down going on right now since the SEC is going to be in BCSNC game and the SEC might have a Heisman winner.
It ain't pretty up North and and out West right now.
They pissssed.

Need to move to a play-off based on conference champions.

They'll just make sure that the SEC Champ game loser will drop out of the top 4. The loser will consistently automatically drop to number 5. Watch

So then 6-8 SEC teams will get in. Maybe they'll just give up.

I bet your former Big 12 friends are saying that you only got Johnny into the Heisman race because yall went to the SEC.

Some of them are... The rest are too chickenshit to say it out loud.
The thing is, there is quite a bit of truth to that.

Hate Alabama for winning it all.

Think about how many SEC vs SEC NCGs we're going to have once we have the playoff. They'll definitely force a rule to only have one per conference. They mad.
I love that the only thing everyone on SECr agrees about is the fact that we're the shite.

Expand to 8, but I guess this year the SEC would have 5 or 6 of the 8.

I don't think the plan is to take 1 2 3 4 for the playoffs. Isn't it supposed to be some kind of selection committee shite? I find it hard to believe that will ever take more than 2 SEC teams (and only then if there's a clear gap between the 2nd team and the next team). That doesn't even begin to get into the way polls will clearly be manipulated leading up to it.

quote:How would they rationalize it, though? If there's an SEC vs. SEC championship, that means at least one of the SEC teams had to beat another team from another conference. Sooner or later the country is just going to have to admit that the SEC plays another level of football.

Ding, ding, ding.
That's why the SEC had to agree to the committee shite for the 4 team playoff to be accepted by the Big 10 and Pac 12. It's a away to take the decision out of semi-autonomous pollsters and computers and leave it up to big wigs that can me swayed.
No way there are EVER 3 SEC teams in the 4 team playoff even if they are 3 of the best teams in the nation.
