Who do you want as coach?

Lets say Pinkel does step down or gets the axe. Who would you want? Im worried about losing Pinkel because I am not sure Mizzou is willing to pay the amount it is going to take to get a coach that can compete but I could be wrong. If we were looking I wouldnt mind someone like Tressel who would be a solid hire. Classy guy respected by many. Butch Davis sticks out to me as well but his recent violations would be a reason Mizzou wouldnt do it. What you guys think?

We pay Pinks a hefty amount for mediocrity. Our donors are willing to increase donations to make sure this program is competitive. It's not a stretch to think we pay a larger contract to a superstar coach than Pink's current contract.
I believe we can hire a superstar coach.
Strong, Tressel, hell...Petrino. I don't care.
Tressel is an interesting idea.

Pinkel makes $2,525,000 a year. LINK
Here is how the rest of the SEC stack up minus Franklin at Vandy his was not listed
Alabama’s Nick Saban – $4,833,333
LSU’s Les Miles – $3,856,417
Arkansas’ Bobby Petrino – $3,638,000
Auburn’s Gene Chizik – $3,500,000
Florida’s Will Muschamp – $3,221,000
Georgia’s Mark Richt – $2,939,800
South Carolina’s Steve Spurrier – $2,828,000
Ole Miss’ Houston Nutt – $2,771,750
Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen – $2,500,000
Tennessee’s Derek Dooley – $2,330,591
Kentucky’s Joker Phillips – $1,702,489
With that being said his salary could bring in a pretty darn good coach. I wouldnt mind stepping up the the $3 mill range to bring in a big name.

Let's go after a Harbaugh or Bill Belichick.

Also those salaries are from December of 2011 so may not be entirely accurate.

Hell, I'd take the OC from aTm for a HC.
OR.....
Keep Pinkel, fire Yost and find another good OC. I think thats all we need. I think Steck can be a good DC as long as we have an offense that will score points.
Thats my take.

Interesting, Mizzou loses to Syracuse - FIRE PINKEL.
Louisville loses to Syracuse, Charlie Strong is someone we should hire. Then he lost to UConn, a team that sucks in the Big East.
