I say promote Brewster and try and hire Chizik or Ellis Johnson as a new DC

Sounds good to me. I say we hire one of the Auburn scumbags to replace Wilson's recruiting.

The real question: why is everyone overreacting to our loss?

Yes we lost but seriously would you rather us be losing to d2 schools and winning four games a year. Settle down we lost the egg bowl. This team still won 8 games this year and I'm sure they are happy to be going to a bowl.

I just think we need a serious overhaul on the defensive side of the ball. The chiz can run a fricking D I know that much and he has proven he can cruit

Anyone ever wonder how much more authority Lawrence and Banks had this year compared to 2011 to make complete on field package changes, looks or say more than just coverage adjustments on D?

Chizik

Will be paid for the next few years not to coach. I'm sure he's just going to chill.

Because our offensive playcalling has put us in a position to fail for the past two years. Defense has done the same now that we don't have a killer D-Line.

And Chizik would be a terrible, terrible hire at DC.

Chizik ran good D at Texas and auburn. Don't see why he couldn't get back into it. Granted like a few posts up he is getting paid not to coach

Imagine Auburn's 2010 defense without Fairley. That's what we'd be next year if we hired Chizik.

Our offense is great. We need an OL coaching over haul. We are great in scheme (OC) \, Rb, QB, and Wrs... It's simply the OL. I keep hearing if Smith was ok.. yada yada... We should not be relying on A single OLman to be able to RUN the ball.

On Defense.. the whole concept is flawed. Schemes are horrible. My vote... MIKE ELKO. We can afford him, and he is an awesome DC. Mike Elko

Look at the ranking of his defenses.

2012: 15th/rush 7th/passing 7th/overall 9th/scoring d

2011... RANKED 79th! How's that for a turn around!

2010.... ranked 102

He came in during the 2009 season and had 8 new starters. In that years last 3 games, they created 12 TOs and allowed only 36% conversion on 3rd downs.

2010.. they forced 29 tos

2011, 15 TOs, and 36% 3rd down conversion rate. He also had 17 freshmen and Sophomores on the 2 deep. 1 player had 8.5 sacks.

As you can see, he came in and took young players and made them into a top defense in the country. He went from being 79th in the country with 17 freshmen and sophomores to 7th with sophomores and juniors! That's one hell of a jump in 1 years time

Arkansas was pretty much the only team we dominated.
