Its probably been discussed to death, but:
Chizik decided Auburn should move away from the spread to a more pro style after Malzahn left.
After the national championship loss, Mack Brown decided Texas needed to move away from the spread to a more pro style to be competitive.
Since changing their offense, Auburn is 3-9 (we'll just go ahead and count today as a loss) and Texas is 21-15. Are the two coaches not good enough to migrate their teams to a different style offense? Do they not have the right players for those systems?
This should serve as a warning for any other coaches, change offensive systems at your own peril.

I honestly didn't pay attention to the UT offense, but if they ran a spread you could have fooled me. They were a pass first team and they've had pro-style QBs for a while now.
Their offense wasn't the problem in the National championship, McCoy getting hurt was. Lately their problem has been their historically bad defense.

I thought Auburn didn't have the personnel to run the spread option they did when Cam was there.
Or at least that was the excuse. Frazier looked stiff, but Wallace looks like he could run that spread option ok.

Dude, take Newton and Manzeil away from the spread and you have shitty football.
It is about having special players in this league. Once the coaches in this league have a year of study on A&M (and when JFF leaves), you'll be yelling for something else. Auburn did - they just have shitty coaches.
And another thing . . . Who gives a shite about Texas!?
