I understand your excitement. I think, however, you're missing a component to this equation.

You'll understand next year after you see them play a few games.

Recruiting will get a bump for sure. I was at a playoff game in Texas the other night, and one of the big defensive recruits said he was swapping from Tennessee to TAMU.

But that won't translate into undefeated next year.

Nah it will take 3 to 5 years of good recruiting and coaching to get us there imo

I can realistically see this playing out. I think 2 of the 3 (Joeckel, Moore, and Matthews) will come back, along with the young stars of A&M's offense (Mike Evans in particular). Will the defense be able to hold up? We'll see.

I also see Baylor making a deep run in the Big XII next year. Coach Briles' offense is cruising along now at Mach speed, as evidenced by our crushing victory over NO. 1 KANSAS STATE. We also held the Heisman Trophy candidate Collin Klein to limited performance, forcing 3 interceptions. Yes, our defense struggled early on, but we're coming out now, and there ain't no stopping us now!

Prediction for 2013: TAMU (12-1, loss to Alabama early on but win out and win SEC-CG)

Baylor: 12-0 or 11-1, may drop a tough one early on, but our stifling defense continues from where it left off this year, and the offense...well, let's just say it'll be unstoppable.

OP, you are correct. A&M will be better next year than this year. I laugh when I see posters from other schools talking about who we lose next year and how that will hurt us. You have no idea who else we have waiting in the wings.We know our team better than you as evidenced by all of you saying JFF would get killed by all the big, tough defenses he would face. He still appears to be pretty healthy to me.

When you are rebuilding next 3 years and you fit to go to a playoff when you are still 3 or 4 in the division. Too freakin bad. By then your qb is gone and so is your coach.
