UGA Dropping Out of the Conference?

What if UGA said "Screw This".
Go independent. Start our own TV network. With the internet, it's more possible than ever to not leave out non-resident fans.
5 million TV sets in Georgia, half of them will be playing every game, selling the shite out of F150's and Etrade accounts.
Keep our rivals Tech, Florida, and Auburn, split out TV money with them for those games, then maybe rekindle some of our older rivalries with Notre Dame and Clemson, and fill out the rest of the schedule with cupcakes.
It would put UGA in a much better position, like most other teams in the NCAA, to have undefeated seasons but still have a few quality games on the schedule... could probably put a half dozen crystals in the case over the next 15-20 years.
I don't see the downside... at least we won't keep getting jacked around and pawned around by the SEC, basically "spreading the wealth around" by a few schools that actually bring it all in, Bama and UGA.
Hell, I don't see why Bama shouldn't be able to do it to, perhaps even more successfully than UGA.

Why don't you just win the conference you're in you gigantic pussy

Won't happen. I would like to see Auburn head to the East, tho. Bring Mizzou to the West. It's time for them to quit blaming Bama for all their problems.

Play Bama during the season and come back here and talk shite. Playing and beating the USCe's and Florida's doesn't entitle you to greatness. Why doesn't Georgia just swap places with either Mississippi's and see where you would fall.

It's about the money. Bama should know this just as well.
Why do the money earners give up most of their cash so our competition can improve their facilities and overpay their coaches?
It's socialism, and if Bama and UGA went rogue, it would basically be an Atlas Shrugged scenario. We'd be just fine. Better than fine, we'd both be doing better overall.

Whats the point of conferences at all than?
Why doesn't every major program just go Indy like Nd?
If its so smart why don't these schools do it?

These aren't the exact stats I was looking for, but Bama and UGA are #1 and #2 in revenue.
UGA is #1 in conference in profit, #2 in the nation behind Texas.
Interesting enough, and an aside, Vanderbilt has more football revenue than Ole Miss.
This article is from 2011.... Forbes magazine.

Your players would get slower and weaker if you left the SEC

Ask Georgia Tech & Tulane how well that worked for them.

Georgia doesn't have enough appeal to do that.....

First, Atlas Shrugged is horseshite!
The SEC, like the NFL, is a product. NFL is totally socialistic by your definition and is most successful sports enterprise.
UGa is hardly strong enough to survive on its own but if you to secede, carry your arse. It did wonders for GaTech and Tulane.
Just admit that you're scared and don't like being ignored by anyone who matters.
