From free scout board.

Thoughts?

Amazing how much better SEC teams are ....
Look at aTm!! When they were in the Big 12 they were a middle of the road team that sturggled to get bowl eligible. The move into the SEC transformed them into a top 15 force. Despite losing a #1 draft pick QB, they are scoring 44.7 PPG and 559.6 YPG (through 9 games) this year compared to 39.6 and 497 last year.

Their defense also improved a lot - they are giving up only 21 PPG this year and 377 yards per game, compared to 28.7 ppg and 387 yards per game last year. This is DESPITE playing against powerful SEC teams every week this year, compared to weaker Big 12 teams last year!

I guess just being in the SEC makes you better!

True but he's a first year coach playing in a new conference with a team that couldn't finish in the top four of it's old conference. IMHO the SEC is not even close to as deep and good as the Big 12 right now. They have about four very good teams.

When it was announced that A&M would join the SEC, the Big 12, at rhe direction of DeLoss Dodds, prepared this talking point variable. If A&M succeeds, they are mid-pack and the SEC is weak. If A&M fails...ha ha. We told you stupid Aggys. You should have stayed in the big 12.

It's simple really. A&M can NEVER have a good team according to those cocksuckers. For the past 25 years, the longhorn-centric media spin is either xxx conference is down or A&M sucks. Never A&M has a good team. Not possible. See where the hate comes from?

Typical Big 12-2-2+2 Trash... Love the SEC, the fans, and everything else. Oh and two names: Johnny Manziel and Kevin Sumlin. Huge upgrade over Tannehill (Mr. Choke) and Sleepy Sherman.

Going to silence them next year before they even make it out of August...

ETA: assuming we get the damn defensive scheme fixed.

Strength of conference ratings last I checked had big12 above the SEC. The SEC has beaten literally no one worth a single shite out of conference this season.

LINK

Although i'm of the opinion that Sagarins conference ratings and strength of schedule ratings are an absolute joke.

So Texas A&M was the only Big 12 school to move to the SEC this past year? Mizzou has been better than A&M the past few years and they have only won 2 SEC games. I know they've had their injuries and what not but every team has. They have Big 12 depth. That's the difference. A&M got a new coach and JFF, that's the difference between them this year and last year.

From their perspective they have a right to feel that way. Suppose for the las 6 years all we hear is how great The Big 12 is, then Mississippi State goes there, knocks their best team and puts together a potential 10-2 record?

Now I do't agree with all that. WIth JFF A&M would be a major player there, but can't blame them for feeling that way.

Or, and I know this is fricking crazy, a new coach, new coordinators and a new scheme combined with seven new starters made us better.

Furthermore, using their theory, why isn't Mizzu competative this year? Surely a team that was arguably the class of the North over the past five years would do well in the easy arse SEC right?

there are 4 teams in this conference that wouldnt be AT LEAST .500 in the big12. aubie, vols, arky, and kentucky. the other 10 would at least win half of their games in that conference
