Comment 1000

Anyway, Jesse Jackson who is a 3* WR from Mississippi spoke on the phone with Pat Washington and said he is now ready to take an Official to Mizzou.

4* OG Isaiah Wynn, who there was some clamoring about earlier for mentioning MU in his top 5 or whatever, has committed to UGA. We already have 4 OL commits so I guess no big deal but would have been nice to get a 4* out of Florida.

At this time in 2005 after a 5-6 season Mizzou had 2 commitments. This year after a 5-7 season we have 13. Its hard to not be a pessimist after a bad season but look how far we have come. Lets try to be patient and not get mad until things happen in seaosn. If we start 5-0 or 4-1 I think we all will feel at least a bit better.

I'm just going to bite my tongue about Mizzou being on the verge of being passed by Arky and falling to last place in the team rankings. Instead, I'm going to try to wait to see how the season starts and hope that Mizzou finds a way to not be in the bottom 4 of the SEC.

Sucks but not surprised. Would not doubt if he switches if UT falters. They do not have a strong team this year. Not saying he comes to MU but don't expect him to stand on his commitment.

As of right now we are still pursuing him and 247 lists us as the favorite to land him. Nate Brown 247

Awesome! Thats the WR I like thats left on our board. but also hearing we are interested in JUCO Jarvis Bentley. Jarvis Bentley Rivals

From PM

quote:

A 6-foot-5 wide receiver at one of the South's most prominent junior colleges, Jarvis Bentley has plenty of early recruiting interest to wade through. The Itawamba (Miss.) Community College standout has the size to compete at the BCS level and the athleticism to go with it. He has nine scholarship offers. He also has a list of favorites. "My top three right now is Missouri, Kentucky and Troy," Bentley said on Friday

It's got to be 5-0. 4-1 when those 5 include Murray St., Toledo, Arky State, Indy and Vandy is really just more of the same.

Grain of salt. They said the same thing about Murphy. I would love to get this kid and hope Washington finally got around to calling him.

So MU, UK or Troy? He'll end up at MSU.

It's official. Dead last in the SEC per 247. Not even very close if going by average stars. GP better not have 1 or 2 diamonds in the rough, there had better be 13 of them. Does anyone see MU climbing out of the cellar at all?

LIkely not, unless he goes 5-0 to start. If rumors start circulating that he's stepping down at the end of the season? Definitely not.

Even if we go 5-0, I don't see us jumping more than to maybe 12th. I just don't see that being able to get the job done in the SEC.

They have the players right now to win 8-9 games.

They do not really have the players coming in to maintain that.. I see why you're on the edge of the cliff.. which is why so much hinges on this year. If this group can have a big year, it will set the stage for improvement with recruiting. If not, then hopefully we recover quickly with a high profile coach.
