Instead of a normal SEC crew they hand picked an all star crew per Sirius radio. Is this normal for big games?
It seems like sticking guys together who are not use to working with each other would be worse.
With that said, they did a good job for an SEC crew.

I enjoyed watching Penn Wagers call the Auburn-New Mexico State game. He shouldn't be anywhere near a significant conference game.

I thought Hubert had his whole crew there. I thought they did a good job.

Just repeating what Sirius said. Caught me off guard?

There was barely any time to train them. All we had time to go over was rule 1 - NEVER flag Bama for holding.

What you probably heard was that they picked the best crew by whatever metric they use to measure officiating crews. I doubt they drafted people from other crews to form a all-star crew.

That is what I heard Eli say about the game on the radio show too.
An all star crew from outside the SEC.
But I thought I heard it wrong until he posted that above.
That makes no sense.

Did anyone else see the reff cut his eyes at the student section when they were chanting frick you saban as he was announcing a penalty?

Well officiated game.
However, I don't understand how Bama's OL doesn't get called for holding more often. They manage to pin the DL's arms so they can neither tackle nor reach. I kept watching it and wanting to see it in slo mo.
If this is legal technique, LSU needs to teach it...
