UT leads, teammate of Alabi. They've stated in the past that they want to be a package deal.

“I don’t have a decision or time table right now,” he said. “I’m just taking my process. Tennessee is the top school right now. Wherever I go I want to come in and help the University the best way I can to win and win bowl games.”

UGA isn't going to jump from #9 to #1 for Galliard.

ETA: It would bump them up to #5, just ahead of Notre Dame and 13 points behind Miami.

You got the formula?

Connected poster on VQ said that Barnett did NOT go to Vandy today and will be in Knox next week for the scrimmage.

247Sports' Charles Power talked with four-star lineman Charles Mosley of Brighton (Tenn.) High School tonight coming off his visit to Alabama over the weekend, and Mosley said Tennessee still leads.

Power will have a full story on Mosley a little later, and we'll link it here once it's live on the site.

According to an interview with his HS coach from al.com, Gavin Bryant will qualify and is on track to enroll at Tennessee next year after taking summer classes.

Gotta hold on to him, but I think the poachers will be out upon hearing he's got the grades

I spent some time at O'Fallon (IL) High today with Hendrix and I'm still confident the Vols lead Florida and USC.

Will take his official for Georgia game.

More coming soon.

So I just caught back up with Dewayne who told me today he's taking an official to Tennessee for the Georgia game. He previously scheduled an official to Florida for the Arkansas game. After finding out they were the same dates, Hendrix said "it's probably going to be the Tennessee one then.

More on Hendrix

quote:

A top three of Tennessee, Florida and USC, with the Vols continuing to hold the advantage. Coach Butch Jones and his staff have really connected with Hendrix, who tells 247Sports he’ll likely visit Knoxville on an official visit for the Georgia game instead of visiting Florida for an official that same weekend (Oct. 4). A source close to Hendrix says that he goes back and forth on committing or waiting to decide. Either way, Tennessee has created some space between itself and the other suitors.

News on Clifton Garret

While the 6-foot-2, 228-pound Garrett will give each school an opportunity to make a run at the front-running Tigers, word we've received is that the Vols are the only legitimate threat to LSU at this point.

Ranked by the 247Composite as the nation's No. 1 outside linebacker, Garrett will take his first-ever visit to Tennessee the weekend of Oct. 4. He is excited about the current recruiting class the Vols have, which ranks No. 4 nationally, and he's like what he's heard from the coaching staff.
