For a great coach, Saban always seems to have one hiccup at home every year

2011- loses 9-6 at home to LSU
2010- blows a 24 point lead to Auburn at home
2009- barely beat a 7-6 Tennessee team at home 12-10
2008- gets almost doubled up in yardage by a 2-10 Tulane team but finds a way to win due to two special teams TDs
2007- loses at home to Louisiana Monroe
2004- needs three missed extra points to beat a 7-5 middle of the pack Pac-10 team (Oregon State), also only beats Troy 24-20
2003- Gets shut out offensively at home against a Ron Zook-coached Florida team starting a true freshman at QB (Chris Leak)
2002- Loses to Fran 31-0
2001- Gives up 464 passing yards to Rex Grossman in a 44-15 loss to Florida
2000- Loses to UAB 13-10
It seems weird how Saban has trouble dominating at home unlike other great coaches like Bowden, Miles, Stoops, and Spurrier when he was with the Gators among others. Does anybody know why that is? If you go by Saban's history, the Texas A&M game might actually be a more dangerous game than this week's game against LSU.

Only home losses in past 5 seasons have been to two #1 teams.

Better teams won but by 29 and 31 points?

Are you saying Auburn has a chance?

Better examples of hiccups would be losing to Ole Miss in 2001 (nearly cost them the West) and losing to Arkansas on a hail mary in 2002 (cost them the West).

This thread is full of fail. You count a close game against Tennessee that he won as a "hiccup"? Please, then, tell me the last team that didn't have a hiccup? One of Tom Osborne's Nebraska teams? Even 2001 Miami had a close game or two.

Add 11-10-12 to the list. Another inexplicable Saban frick up at home. Unreal.
