I know this is Germans, but
happened with our 2012 recruiting classes.
#31 and #32 respectively. That is good enough for second to last and last in the SEC.

Ole Miss lost 3 recruits in the 1st round in the draft. If those 3 had made it to campus Ole Miss would have had the top class.

Obviously, Bianco knows that is a real possibility when he recruits those guys, as do all college coaches.

i think he was willing to take a chance considering we only lost 1 kid to the draft out of 9 in the previous class. it wasnt like they were going to make or break our season (although they wouldve been HUGE). it just sucks losing all three of them
it only means next year ole miss and state will dominate the rankings.

Question though is do you continuously go after these guys that are going to be lost to the draft or try to shore up the best of the guys that you know will have to stay a couple years ... been asking this question for years
But to answer your questioun i just hope Bianco isn't pulling a Houston Nutt ...

We signed a REALLY, REALLY small class last year but signed some solid guys in John Marc Shelly, and our Canadian duo or Hann and Robson.

Explain the difference in: "really, really small class" and "REALLY, REALLY small class".

Ole Miss also lost Nyman at the beginning of the semester due to a "misunderstanding". He was the top prospect after the three first rounders.

A friend of mine coached Nynan for a summer league team and told me he left OM because Bianco lied to him about the amount of scholarship he was getting. He got on campus and found out he virtually had to pay his own way.
He's at a JUCO now on a full ride and will likely be drafted in 2013

quote:I've heard that, but it doesn't add up at all. All the terms of a player's scholarship are written out in the documentation when they sign to play with a school. There's no way a team can just lie to someone about a scholarship unless they fail to read the contract. The misunderstanding would have to be on Nyman's end. I imagine Nyman could have taken legal action if the problem was in the documentation.

3 players won't drop you 30 spots

They actually lost 5. 3 to the first round, 1 to grades, and then Nyman to a scholarship dispute...
Ole Miss had the Perfect Game #2 class in the country leading into the MLB draft last year. For a fact. So, there is that...
This was State's most underrated class in 20 years. Probably because it was sucn a small class due to losing so few scholarship players this past season. At any rate, there are at least 4 stars in that class...
