With Cord Sandberg committed, keeping in mind that he could decide to go play in the MLB after the draft. Does anyone see us picking up another QB? I know we have Gabe Myles too, but we recruited him as a CB.

Manatee, Fla. (6-0) at Venice, Fla. - Manatee QB Cord Sandberg; season stats: 91-of-137 for 1,182 yards with 18 touchdowns and one interception, and has 47 rushes for 299 yards and four touchdowns.
Insane stats.

If any, it will be 4* Joshua Dobbs of Ga (current ASU commit)

Don't need another one. Cord = Steve Young

Still recruiting this guy, and the chances are pretty decent that we can flip him if the staff decides that we need to...

I wish we would go ahead with Dobbs. If the MLB really wants Cord, then that team will throw crazy money with him. No matter what Cord says or thinks right now the MLB draft is so unpredictable. We have to pull the trigger on Dobbs now IMO to be safe rather than sorry. I would have been happy with Dobbs had Cord never committed fwiw.

If we get Dobbs to flip, do you think Cord decommits? Personally I like Cord over Dobbs. I wouldn't want to burn that bridge.

Why would he? Cord has to understand the position that we are in with his situation. If that is "too much competition" for him, then I wouldn't want him. From what I can tell, Cord seems like a gamer, and would be perfectly fine having to compete with a pro-style guy for his position...

Cord can go in the MLB draft and still play football at State. This is the same situation as Anthony Alford at USM.

I doubt Merlin's would agree to this. Do you know how hard it is to be a SEC QB? It is impossible to devote the ample time needed to be successful when trying to do both.

I'm not saying he would just was simply wondering what ya'll felt. Who would you personally rate over the other?

Both are damn good, but I think Cord is a better fit for our system. However, Dan has shown he will tailor the system around the QB. I still think Dan prefers dual threat guys over pro style guys.
