TCU starting QB suspended indefinitely for DWI

I know this isn't MU's problem, but another timely "Stupid College Athelete Trick." Our son is a TCU alum so we follow and support the Frogs.

It amazes me that they were just sitting in an empty parking lot on campus, real stupid. Burn up at a better spot.. stupid.

It also amazes me that this ridiculous law, which is only a law because hemp would have killed a number of industries in the 30s, is still allowed to drastically effect peoples lives.

I'd rather they be smoking on a wednesday night than drinking, and thats the truth.

No kidding. What idiots. Campus police roll through all the campus lots constantly.

This sucks in so many ways. A smart cop would have kicked their arse about the lot (verbally) and scared the crap out of them and let them go with a warning. You know, "If I ever catch your arse again! And I'm going to be looking!"

Instead Barney flaunts his power and some kids end up with a record.

I know it's illegal but this is stupid.

Agree with that, but they sure need to learn..." location, location, location," makes a difference.

I am not opposed to repealing marijuana law. It presents nowhere near the danger of alcohol.

No kidding. Off-campus, this probably isn't even an arrest. Unless they had enough pot to distribute. MUPD is not SEC-ready.

This.

And it's odd to me - there were 5 dumb-arse freshmen in the Lincoln Navigator, but only 3 were arrested. Why? And whose Navigator was it? The NCAA wants to know...

Less than 35 grams? Pot laws are stupid.

Still, wtf are these guys thinking? You can't do this. You just can't.

Respectfully disagree with your view.
Maybe they had already been warned.....just a thought.
BTW, behavior in question, is not that of the police officer.

Meh...one game. Not a big deal. None of those players including DGB have really contributed greatly anyhow (not DGB's fault, but still).

We'll have DGB back for Bama.

I would agree, however, I uh, well, lets just say I was just as stupid when I was in college.

I can just see the scowl on Pinkel's face, it's the one he had during the fourth quarter of the UGA game.

Thats what I can't understand. This is Columbia. There has to be like 3000 miles of dirt and gravel roads out in the middle on nowhere they can do that shite, then they could get lost and by the time they find there way back to thier dorms, they're good to go. Lack of planning all the way, along with creativity. Disappointed, I am....

Maybe this could contribute to the rumor of DGB having a hard time picking up the playbook?

DGB and 2 Redshirt freshman..received "tickets"...2 other players in car no action taken. Columbia ordinance no arrest required yet unlike other SEC schools that get it ...our Campus Cops like to beat their chests....I've got a lot of stories about over zealous Cops in Columba........

In the carwash

that's funny...and true! I almost forgot about the carwash. Good place to go in college.

Missouri has probably more awesome gravel roads than about anywhere. They could have simply put cruise control on 10 - 15 miles per hour and cruised the country roads for hours. They could have stopped on a random bridge to take a piss and chief again.

Stupid. But it's my experience that African Americans don't feel as comfortable on the country back roads as white people. Perhaps it's because theyre in the backwoods - out of their element.

I think the campus policy is stricter than the City policy. I believe if you're caught with it on campus, you're immediately put on University probation. All the City of Columbia does is issue a ticket, they don't arrest.

Dumb-asses were in the wrong place. Take that shite off campus.

Agreed. Or here's another option. If the school work isn't there, work on your football career. I'm assuming thats why he's playing that is. If they allow players to take playbooks back to there dorms, maybe he can work on that instead of rolling marry jane.
