Needs to be a real world type show with infamous SEC characters with Harvey, Teabagger, Junior and Lulu, LSU kegstand granny, and John L. Smith.

Pull up a seat and let Ole Coyote explain how this happened.
Paul William Bryant. That's the answer.
Allow me to expound a little. Being older than most here, I spent my formative years in the U.S. Army. Being poor and rural, the military was my way out of the field, and this was at the height of Coach Bryant's fame in the late 70's.
Not knowing much about anything of the world around me at the time, I was shocked at the number of Bryant Crimson Tide fans I met from all over the country, people that never sat foot in Alabama. Most knew nothing about the state except Bryant and the Tide.
So it wasn't really an arbitrary choice that Updyke choose to be an Alabama fan. It was generational.
That said, he is a crazy, sad piece of shite and a criminal to poison the Toomer oaks. Anyone that allows a game to drive them to criminal or violent acts are sad pieces of shite.

God, I wish so badly that this crazy, sad man from Texas hadn't arbitrarily decided to be an Alabama fan.
Me too. He is not an alumni, not even from Alabama.

Are you kidding me? He went to high school in Florida. Lived and worked his whole life in Texas. Retired to Louisiana. He never attended Alabama. He never lived in Tuscaloosa. He has no real attachment to the school whatsoever. Hell, he doesn't have any attachment to the state.
Someone needs to enroll his arse or let him take some online courses from Bama so we can say he went to Bama. Lets all chip in

It's like this regarding all of sports.... many random people tend to choose the biggest winners to root for whether they have ZERO connection what-so-ever see Yankess,New England Patriots,L.A. Lakers etc. etc. etc.
It's sort of lame but there it is...hell, even syndicated sports talk show hosts do it...i.e. that Tenn. grad finebaum with his bama obsession. Sadly, for the real bama brethren, scores of these morons have artificially and remora-like glued themselves to your program !

Imagine if he has a heart attack and dies in Lee County Jail.

Pretty awesome. RT @RyanBrownWJOX: @JHokanson How awesome if (Updyke) skips the hearing and Dog the Bounty Hunter has to track him down?
Well maybe he can be on this show
Two warrants were issued Wednesday and are expected to be served on Harvey Updyke in Lee County Circuit Court on Wednesday, a move that could revoke his bond and lead to his re-arrest in the case involving the poisoning of the famed oak trees at Toomer's Corner at Auburn University.
The warrants were issued following Updyke's felony arrest in Louisiana last week. Updyke will be in court Thursday to have new attorneys appointed. Judge Jacob Walker III also could rule on a change of venue request.
An alias warrant and a warrant/bond issue were issued Wednesday, according to the Alacourt website. Updyke, a devout Alabama fan, is accused of poisoning the trees following Auburn's win over the Tide in 2010.

he technically retired to Dadeville so he could go to bama games. the only reason he left the state was to live with family after all the toomers shite happened.
I wonder why Harvey chose to live in Dadeville which is a 30-45 minute drive to Auburn on the opposite side of the State from Tuscaloosa?

His high school buddy Wayne Barnes, aka florabama on at least one Bama Board, rented his lake house to Updyke.

Updyke knew Barnes had a house in Alabama, a little cinder-block place on Lake Martin near Dadeville. Barnes offered to rent it to him for $300 a month. Harvey and Elva moved into the lake house in the winter of 2009. He lived just 130 miles from Tuscaloosa and the Alabama campus. He also lived just 30 miles from Auburn.
Just noticed the...
