I dont see Texas mentioned anywhere in the article.

Well the additional seats are needed for a couple of reasons. One is that ticket demand is extremely high right now. We had a sold out game for SCSU.
The other is that A&M's traditional position has always been whatever student wanted a sports pass for the football season, got one. However the growth of the A&M student body to over 50,000 has forced students to be turned away, so the student section will grow as well.

This just baffles me. $400,000,000 for an expansion? and it's bleachers? It already seats 83,000 give or take.
So for the extra 20,000 seats that is $20,000 cost per seat.

Good thing you aren't in charge of future planning.
You build a stadium for the next 50 years. Besides, we are selling out now and that is with not being able to supply the correct amount of visitor seats.

The stadium is getting much more than a simple expansion. This is a major renovation that will take years to complete. It's a total overhaul.
