this.

Chiz and gang deserve some credit for getting the D to show up emotionally and compete

The funny thing is that many on this board sit here and scream about how tough the SEC is and all road games are battles....

then when it happens that way everyone wants to point fingers about how one team didnt win the way they should have and tear them down....what a fricking joke some folks are

Auburn is still the same team, they just played inspired ball at their house, in a night game, against the #2 team in the nation, with the season on the line. The defensive game plan was to take advantage of Mett's inexperience, sell out to stop the run, and force Mett to beat the defense. There were 8, 9, 10 guys in the box for Auburn all freaking night. I don't care if you're 1995 Nebraska, 9 times out of 10 you are not going to get through that many guys running straight up the middle.

Auburn's offense looked as anemic as ever. They didn't pass the century mark in total yards until mid-way through the 4th quarter. And the way Auburn played toward the end, it seemed to me they were just trying to keep the game close rather than win it outright.

Pretty much sums it up.

In Mett's defense our WR's dropped two deep balls that likely would have been long TD's to Shepard and OBJ.

Thx. I wasn't on the Rant a lot yesterday, but LSU fans have been very gracious towards Auburn regarding the game.

I think this was LSU's first SEC road game against a division rival and they played that way. There's nothing wrong with that. I think it will help both teams in the long run as they can build off the good and the bad going forward.

BTW, I feel like the Tiger rivalry is on its way back and Im glad we won't be stuck at the bottom with the Grinders much longer

combination of both bundy.

auburn got grinded up in grindfest and it fricked them up badly for a week.

LSU is better than what they showed but miles shits the bed at auburn and he refuses to try different things with the oline. he would rather run plays that are the weaker part of his qbs game than try to find a competent lt.

les needs to fix the line because as we saw last year with the grinders when you dont have a good lt its hard to win games.

I agree with this. It was a completely different team last night.

Tuberville is 3-0 at TTU and Iowa St. is sitting at 3-0 without Chizik.

For some reason, LSU has a hell of a time beating Auburn at home, if you use that as a measuring stick as to where LSU is, your fuked. Cause we still one of the top programs in the country. u will c

The '09 Alabama team had some ugly games too. I wouldn't read a whole lot into this

Saying LSU is bad is a knee jerk reaction.

It's a 12 game regular season. Bad games happen. Matchups change every week. Personnel changes.

LSU will be fine.

Except for the muffed punt and the fact that Frazier didn't catch the flu before the game and sit out.
