quote:I agree with BVG on this. Chizik wouldn't even let Erique Florence dress out for the UL-Monroe game because he missed a team meeting. That's basically suspending a player an entire game for missing a fricking meeting. Not getting arrested, not failing a drug test, but for missing a meeting. C'mon.
Chizik is disciPling players and holding them out of games for things BVG feels is a bit trivial and would be ignored at other schools.

BVG is starting to seem like the only guy down there who knows what the frick he is doing... It's good that he is taking charge and cracking heads, because Chiz sure as frick ain't doing it.

This wasn't EF's first issue, while he hasn't done anything major several on the team feel the rules don't apply to them. Chizik intends to stop this. Richt let players play doing similar things such as missing curfew and not attending meetings, BVG is not pleased with the fact he learned of the suspension late.
Really what it comes down to is BVG is not pleased with the defense and it bothers him that some of the players he wants to put on the field are suspended at various times. As some have already said BVG needs to realize this isn't Richt or UGA.
Other than this issue I don't see much else bad with this staff, provided Auburn boosters stay out of things.

Well it was more than one meeting, but some of us think Chizik has gone overboard with the discipline, from invoking an 11 curfew during the week and midnight on weekends to suspending players too easily and quickly (think the Clemson game) for small violations.
