Well then I wasn't referring to you Rick, although you did admit that with a caveat. They're both good. "who's better?" is splitting hairs. I just think the "there's absolutely no way AJ is better than TW lol" crowd is full of shite and they know it, they'd just rather not say, yep..bama is the best at that too

I'm sure everyone understands the OP. I think the issue is that it's still September. This conversation is almost as pointless as a preseason poll. If AJ is rated around 200 in December UA will go 14-0 and he will leave early as the #1 overall pick.

Most saying this are easily looking at pro potential.

What does that have to do with AJ? Are you saying he won't go in the first round?

There used to be a time when a qb had to be special to go In the first rd. Now qbs like Gabbert and Christian Ponder go in the 1st. Teams will reach for Qbs and WRs nowadays.

Wilson is good but people are acting like he has Matt Stafford arm talent and its ludicrous to compare AJ to him are flat out wrong. This is a really weak crop of QBs that are draft eligible. Bray has the most arm talent, but has all type of maturity issues and other red flags. Logan Thomas is still a project at this point, Barkley has a waterp pistol arm and has zero mobility. Wilson doesn't have any measurables or arm talent that jump off the screen either.

There are a lot of decent QBs and 2 with high ceilings in Bray and Thomas that will probably never reach their potential. Geno Smith has a nice arm and mobility, but all QBs look good in that system.

Somebody has to go in the 1st McCarron has as good a shot as any other QB.

Mett will cost probably cost LSU the Bama game. This Bama defense isnt as stingy, but way more opportunistic. Turnovers come easy for this team.

Not at this point, but their stats are similar.

No he won't. At this point , if you say AJ is a 1st rd pick, you're nothing but a homer. Not one mock draft has him higher than a 3rd rd pick.

Stinginess is what got LSU beat last year.

We'll take our chances on your guys taking their chances.

Maybe it will be this way in the end, but there is no way you can say that now. McCarron has a ring and Mettenberger has a few starts.

To the people saying AJ will go in the first round, lolwut? There is no doubt he is a talented quarterback, but until he starts passing more than 20 times a game, it ain't happening.

LOL. What got LSU beat was being out-manned, out-coached, and being a less physical team in general. In other words, the same things that are gonna get that arse spanked Nov 3.
