For all the bitching you guys are doing about the state of the SEC Rant, there are all of three (3) admin requests right now, two (2) of them on the same thread. All three (3) of the requests have led to appropriate and measure admin activity.

So if you think there is something requires investigation, then USE THE F*#@!!@G RA button. Otherwise you are just a bunch of whiny attention post whores.

Will do, Ice. Just didn't want to RA for every thread.

boom

Chicken gets on phone, yo ice man the rant is getting crazy, you need to check that shite. Ice man like wtf, I haven't been notified of almost no RA's. Ice man lays the smack down on the help board

Note to others, main way admins know something is amiss, RA the shite out of offending posts. Don't start help thread without RAing

I think most people don't use it because they feel action is rarely taken. There are posters here who repeatedly start threads just to troll and nothing ever happens to them. Saturday was a perfect example of 2 or 3 posters trying to ruin the gameday rant for everyone else. shite gets old quick.

I'm scared to RA due to getting a PM for RAing too much last year.

ICE, I respect what you are saying here. However, people hate to RA, not because its hard, but its like being a snitch. And it seems so obvious that they are flame or shite threads yet nothing is done. Do you guys watch the board or just respond to RA's? People assume you are watching and they dont need to RA.

FWIW I have RA'd the shitty flame threads, and not just the one directed towards Auburn and they continued without an anchor or deletion, so it seems like that it isnt worth it, when not much happens

So someone starts a help board thread about it? Yeah, much more low profile. We don't divulge who RAs on which thread/post/poster. Confidentiality and all that shite.

Do you know how many new threads a day are started, and how many responses to those threads are made? I don't either, but it's a shitload.

I will say that personally, when a thread/post has two (2) or more RAs on it, that gets my attention pretty quickly.

I was told I was a pussy for RA'ing. I just move on to another thread and leave the shitty thread RA'ing to some other person.

I prefer to call someone out as opposed to RAing but hey, that's just me.

No complaints here.

understandable. FWIW the only help board thread I have started about an issue like this was after RA'ing

I understand, you are busy. Are you the only overlord who constantly authoritizes the Rant?

So if I were to RA a thread twice you would come running?

Yes, we know.

In an honest question, do any admins actually frequent the board and read it, or is completely reliant upon posters clicking RA?

We do frequent the board, read, and often contribute. We do not review every post, however, which is why the RA list is important.

This is something I have thought about starting a thread on, and may still do it if things don't improve around here...

But what if chicken were to give the sec rant its own set of new administrators. Not sure how the budget chicken has to work with would allow this, but for the sec rant to maximize its potential I think a big step in the right direction would be for it to have its own set of admins. And not admins that are trying to manage 2 sites

Sounds to me like you're trying to get Ice fired.

Ice can stay on sec rant if he wants and not go back to just TD. Just get him some minions. Sexy minions who wear skimpy little outfits that do his every demand.
