Rebuilding has really picked up around 15th St and McFarland and you can tell a lot more is about to begin. Going to be fun to watch the city come back bigger and better than before. Downtown looks great also and wow at all the new stuff going up, I was blown away. Also, our campus has never looked better. The grounds crew has done an amazing job over the past few years, we truly do have an incredible campus. Can't wait to get down there in a few weeks!

I just hope they can keep grass on the Quad this year instead of it turning into a dust bowl.

Haha, I can only imagine how hard that is with the amount of people that are all over it every weekend. I don't know how they even get it to grow under all those huge oak trees.

Once the Homecoming bon fire happens, all the grass on that side of The Quad is going to die. It always happens.

I think a lot of us that drive through everyday don't seem to see it rebuilding as fast. We are all so ready for some of our favorites to come back and maybe get some new stuff too. Guess it'll feel a bit more "normal" once that happens.

Yeah, I was over there mid-last week to meet my son who is a Sr at the University. He lives off 15th, just across from the lake and it is looking so much better. The lake's been cleaned. The new buildings are bringing some energy. Glad to see it all.
Thanks for the thread!

My second favorite SEC campus.
Was there any damage to the campus or to any of its buildings or trees? From what I recall
there was not. But I remember the incredible footage of seeing that thing in the distance above Bryant-Denny....

No rebuilding? Just a field?

Are there plans to rebuild?

Nothing there yet. I don't know what the plan is for that.

Parts of the city are still unrecognizable. It's never gonna be completely the same.
