Will Arkansas ever run away from the SEC?

There have been rumors that Arkansas was willing to talk to the Big 12 a couple of years ago. After their move to the SEC, it took them a long time to get their footing. Even after getting a very good football team, they are still in the shadow of LSU and Bama. Now, A&M has come in and A&M and LSU want to play each other on the rivalry weekend, pushing Arkansas in with Mizzou. Arkanasas has clearly felt slighted.
Suppose Arkansas is unable to recover from their difficult offseason, that A&M does well, and that Arkansas falls even further back in the SEC pecking order.
Is there ever a scenario in which Arkansas runs away from the SEC?

Were the rumors that they were willing to listen to the Big 12 a couple of years back false?

No to the first question.
Yes to the 2nd.

I'm glad to hear that. I'd hate for Arkansas to bolt.

I'm betting on another spider man thread.

Will Texas A&M ever live to all this "potential" they claim to have or will they continue to be the laughing stock they have been for 100 years?

Question doesn't seem that crazy. Why did Arkansas need to publicly confirm its commitment to the SEC? That's a lot like the AD that needs to publicly confirm his commitment to the head coach; that always happens right before the coach is fired.
These guys wondered about Arkansas, too:

Because Chip Brown and the burnt orange mafia were throwing out "leaks" to try to salvage the Big 12's reputation.

Speaking of A&M doing well (which I'm not sure was needed in the above but that's neither here nor there) whats the prediction for them this season? I don't think I've seen any so far.

Better question:
If Arkansas left, would the Arkansas posters leave this board?
Tough choice, IMO.

Arkansas was never close to going to the Big 12, ever. Why do you think we left the SWC? It was certainly not to work our way up slowly in the SEC just to go back to dicking with Texas in a couple of decades. Arkansas loves being in the SEC. No we do not dominate, but we have not been terrible either. We enjoy the money, prestige, and competition.

I swear you ags are more than a little slow. Trying to be nice is very difficult when dealing with large scale ignorance.
