Agree. I am LE, but if the guy is at large I would think giving people more basic info to get him caught/avoid the crazy SOB would be prudent. At the very least a LEO only bulletin to other state agencies, like mine, to BOLO for the guy.

Depends on range. If he shot them in the back with a shotgun at 2 or 3 feet, it'd leave a pretty big hole, even with #6 shot.
He was outside the bar when he started shooting, so probably a lot further away than 2 or 3 feet. Also, he shot through the bar's front glass and that is how some of the injuries developed. So, not everyone who was injured was shot.

Media reports have been crap on this all morning.

Mayor Todd STRANGE to tha rescue --> freakin idiot.

I still can't believe this happened. I really hope they catch the SOB soon.

I see the numbers of victims. Did the shooter have accomplices, what type of gun was used for sure, were there any players at the bar, is the shooter still on the loose, have there been any of the victims passed away, and where was the bar located? Thanks for any help. I need to text my buddy and make sure he's OK.
It appears the shooter acted alone, seemed to be after somebody in the bar. Doesn't look random according to police, could possibly tied to an earlier shooting in Northport the same night. No one has died, only one I believe is in very critical condition. The bar was located in Downtown Tuscaloosa in the Temerson Corner area. Very popular area for bars, restaurants.

It is amazing no one has died to this point considering what went down. Hopefully the reports continue to be good. This looks like some straight up columbine stuff, the way he walked and carried that huge gun. Walked away after like he had done nothing. It is scary that there are crazies in the world like this, you really aren't safe anywhere anymore.

Just found out that three of my friends were shot. All three were foot injuries.

I'm still in shock over the fact that no cops were on the scene. I've been down there on weekday nights and there is always a cop or two hanging around that fountain.

unbelievable, kinda creepy that guy can be so casual after something like that, that tells me he's probably ex-military or just maybe a cold son of a bitch...

Yeah but there's never been a need for them on the weekdays.

Looks like story has been updated again and now they are reporting a bit more about the Northport shooting possibly being connected.

Looks like they are putting the pieces together pretty quickly. Hopefully they catch this psycho soon. Good job by the Tuscaloosa Police department.

Judging by the way he was walking in the surveillance video, I think he was extrememly drunk. Definitely doing some wobbling.
Side note: as a veteran, I find it a bit perturbing when people, especially the media, start running with the PTSD/crazy veteran meme. Not saying this guy isn't a vet, but let's get the facts before making that kind of call.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who were injured in the shooting in downtown Tuscaloosa last night. We have learned that three students suffered non life-threatening injuries. Two were treated and released from the hospital, and one is being held for observation.
The Emergency Policy Group convened as soon as we were notified by the city of Tuscaloosa and has been in close contact with Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox and UAPD since the incident occurred. Following the shooting, UAPD took precautionary measures in the areas west of campus and offered assistance to the Tuscaloosa Police Department.
Also, the University notified the campus community through UA Alerts text messages and emails as soon as information about the situation became available to University officials.
For those who need assistance coping with the aftermath of the shooting, counseling is available through the UA Counseling Center, 1000 South Lawn Office Building (1101 Jackson Avenue), (205) 348-3863.
The safety and well-being of our students is one of our highest priorities at The University of Alabama. The University will continue to partner with the city of Tuscaloosa, as we work together to provide for the safety of our students, faculty and staff.

The only time I saw where it looked like he was wobbly was when he got the end of the building and saw people walking by it seemed to me as if he pushed himself towards the wall to maybe shield the view of the gun.

No problem, just a stereotype we fight. Hopefully they'll get the guy soon. Someone knows who this guy is if he's a gun aficionado; we're like car enthusiasts, we like to show them off.
