Do Auburn fans love/hate..........

"Sweet Home Alabama"? The hate between auburn and bama is obvious. The song represents the entire state of alabama, but bama uses this song as if it's a fight song incorporating a "roll tide roll" during the chorus. I'm bored at work and have always wondered this.

I hate it because its so played out.

My wife is an Auburn fan and the song has become pretty tied with Alabama football in her mind. So much so that she now subs "frick You Alabama" for "Sweet Home Alabama." When a band played this song after the 2009 Iron Bowl in Auburn at Sky Bar, half the crowd was singing "frick you Alabama" followed by the other half singing "Roll Tide Roll." It was pretty funny and suprisingly good-natured by all. That was a fun night.

care to tell? i know when bama plays LSU in tiger stadium, the song will be played over the loudspeaker. We also do the "frick you alabama" followed by an "ole miss sucks too"

Never liked the song, but it is now part of Alabama which was fine with me. Now I did like Free Bird.
