I am not reading through this entire thread, but to the OP, SEC pride is bullshite. It is just a way for the irrelevant schools of the conference to make themselves feel relevant. Pretty sad really, and a lot of Tennessee fans are guilty.

This. A fan of a non-SEC school would laugh in the face of a Vanderbilt or an Ole Miss fan bragging about Alabama's football national championship or Kentucky's basketball title. I will not lose any sleep if the SEC does not win the CWS or a football title next year. I want LSU to win the title and the other 13 schools can GFT.

So, you've never talked shite with Big Ten and PAC 12 fans about SEC dominance?

I'm pretty sure pretty much every SEC fan on this board has talked trash with football fans of teams in other conferences.

Many SEC fans are not like you. I wouldn't brag about other teams winning but I rooted hard for the other SEC teams (except AU) to win their bowl games. And I don't think it was to make us feel relevant, since, you know, we were in the BCSNC. This is how most Bama fans I know feel.

This is a very short sighted way to look at it. SEC teams beating other conferences' teams factors into BCS voting.
