If they believe he is in the attic they need to be up there looking for him. Taking the rest of the night off and heading home till morning looks pretty amateurish to me.

I believe there is no suspect in attic. The mayor is trying to save face now. No way they don't have him by now. Frick me I hope that desmonte gets skullfricked for wasting my day.

The renter calls 911. A friend with a gas mask and many water bottles and straws holes himself up there. Desmonte travels to Canada.

It did seem odd to me that the mayor earlier said during one of his half dozen press conferences that they were "interrogating" the owner of the home. Normally they would say they were "talking" to them.
