IMO UF is the team to beat.Would be a big disappointment for the Gators to not win it all this year.

**Attention**
Game on ESPN2 SEC Championship...announcers just said they will talk to the NCAA chair next half inning about Kentucky.

Miami, but just change the SOS to top 10 if you wanna change the argument to UVA. Both had better resumes than UK.

It's more than that. Just 3 SEC teams hosting with 5 ACC teams.
Even better - 4 PAC-12 host sites

UF isn't playing well lately... Honestly, I don't think they win it this year.

Per the NCAA interview just now on ESPN2.
They looked first at regular season performance and regional positioning.
Q: Why Miami vs. Kentucky?
A: They won't get into specifics until after the field is announced. They mentioned #1's not hosting, so it sounds like UK will potentially be a #1 in someone else's region.

It seemed like he was indicating a #1 might not be hosting.

Dude just made the point that not all 1 seeds host a regional. Probably means that UK is a 1 seed somewhere.

I'm not sure how they can believe being a #1 in somebody else's ballpark is a gift. Is there much difference between a #3 and #4?

4's are auto-bids (similar to 15 and 16 seeds in the NCAA basketball tournament)

Unfortunately, it's not that simple when your SOS approaches 50.

There was also a strong mention (and a shot at "southern teams") to get "out more" in their OOC. So throw away your total body of work folks. They want SEC teams to go up north in the OOC to "prove" themselves.
ETA: As just mentioned Miami, outside of venturing across the state to play Florida barely played away from home.
