Who would the SEC court if it ever decides to expand to 16 teams?

There is talk of Florida State and possibly one other school going to the Big 12 in the future. Whenever conferences start becoming Super Conferences in the future who will the SEC court? Va Tech and Miami maybe?

Likely UNC and Va Tech, then NC State and UVA - it is all about TV market share/$$$

My preferences, in order:

1. Notre Dame (TV $$$ & fun matchups)
2. Oklahoma Top 5 Program (Past Present Future)
3. UNC (Large, growing market)
4. Va Tech (Market, culture, football)
5. FSU
6. UVA
7. NC State
8. Clemson
9. OK State
10. Ga Tech or Duke or Rice

HATE the va tech fanbase when they were in br in 07 they were some of the biggest Douche bags ever and it may not be great to add them consedering every good team beats them

Just like UT and TAMU were? Money talks, my friend.

I'd prefer NCSU over UNC because they have more of an SEC mentality. UNC fans are too full of themselves although the recent football scandals have knocked them down a few pegs.

it would be great for SEC teams to add the 757 and 703 recruiting grounds

VT fans think they would recruit better but they would be just undercutting themselves by letting the SEC free roaming into VA. VT does not recruit well out of state and letting better programs with a bigger budget and facilities could be asking for trouble

two completely different situations

The aggies got sick of tejas's shite and told them to piss off and good for them

VT kicked and screamed when not being invited to the ACC at first and asked the flagship state school to use their pull to get them in.

I agree with this except for the Oklahoma schools for selfish reasons because it would be a big blow to A&M recruiting. From a general conference standpoint OU would be a very good add though.

for the final time.....
the uva/vt situation is nothing like the tamu/ut situation.
blue skittles taste nothing like blue m&ms

uva (and the va state government) held a coup to get vt in the acc. vt cannot run to the next "better" offer unless uva gets an equal offer.

thus vt/uva would either both get sec offers, or vt would get the sec offer and uva would get one to the B1G.

as much as i dislike notre dame (maybe even moreso than any of our rivals), i would wet myself with glee watching them get pimp-slapped every week in the SEC...

some VT poster came on here tried telling me i had no clue what i was talking about. Proved him wrong fairly quickly

On the VT board in all the threads the elephant in the room is UVA they just won't discuss it b/c they know the truth

i think a lot of this is just fan speculation at this point. the texas ten also thought they were gonna pull arky away if i recall.
hell the sec cant even get a bigger contract for its additions. i think the conf commish's are going to go into wait and see mode before adding anyone else. no need to make decisions until they see exactly how much money is up for grabs.
