There are those who call him ... Dooley.

Although, based on the recent past, it could be Houston Nutt

I just found this interesting quote from Bear Bryant, supposedly from 1981.

"Bein' Alabama's coach was an intense honor for me. I'd say the closest I ever got to cheatin' on my wife was Alabama football. She was my mistress all those years. Together, we were winners and sinners on and off the field. We were rulers of the grid iron. The only time in my life I felt I'd been violated in my butthole was when Dan Devine and his Missourah Tigers beat the livin' shite outta me and my boys 35-10 in the 1968 Gator Bowl. I'll never forget that. Those yankee blue bloods tore us a new one that day. It was a most humblin' experience."

Yea, I thought it was pretty common knowledge that Bear had a flask and a chick that could suck start a leaf blower with him at all times.

Benny,

I thought so too. But Bear must have thought differently about himself than everyone else. According to his quote, he never cheated on his wife.

Never ever.

Our coach was faithful in the same sense that your coach never operated a motor vehicle under the influence.

Has Arky done anything to upgrade their OLine?

actually, what has arky done to upgrade anything besides RB? it seems to me like they took a lot of steps backwards

HC: huge downgrade
OC: downgrade
QB: same
RB: upgrade with return of Davis
WR: big downgrade losing all those recievers
TE: same
OL: ??? more experienced i suppose

D: arky d is always meh. they havent added any playmakers that im aware of. correct me if im wrong.

i would be a bit worried about this team if they still had Petrino, but i feel like there will be chemistry problems in the first(only?) year under John L.

What the frick are you talking about? Pinkel's never operated a vehicle under the influence. You can't be under the influence if your heart pumps wine instead of blood.

Just sayin.

I dont think OC is a downgrade. Paul Petrino and Garrick McGee are both good imo. I think Wilson will improve after having a year of experience. And having cook and smothers now being sophomores on the OL will hopefully help. They played better later in the season last year. Our C and RG will be all-SEC caliber...it just depends on the rest of the OL.

On D juco DE Austin Flynn will push for a starting job...and otha peters could start. We moved DE Tenarius Wright to MLB to get more size there. And of course we have a new DC. Having the game at home will help too.

When will Alabama dominate Arkansas like Bama has the rest of the conference?

Bama's only 10-8 against Arkansas since we joined the league in 1992

Good point. If your best quartered back in school history doesn't meltdown, you pop them in 2010 like LSU, USC, and Auburn did.
