There is no reason for BD to not be louder than it is. It's not even on the same level as JH, and I was there when you guys were playing the number one team in the country.

WAOM...
I hate that mind set of our fans.
I grew up a Gator fan so I was used to planning on winning every game. And now being an Ole Miss grad (in a week) its hard to accept we dont have a chance at winning every game

Well when a sizable portion of the people with season tickets have one foot in the graveyard behind the stadium, what do you expect?

I know what you mean. My family has had the same season tickets in JH for over fifty years, and we sit squarely on the fifty, twenty rows up. To say that we aren't in the most excitable part of the stadium is an understatement.
Screw student tickets though, I make money off of those. I'm not wading through that clusterfrick as long as I've got seat twelve, row twenty, sec twenty nine.

GatorCountry. The Urban Meyer hate and ripping of Janoris did it for me. A bunch of holier than thous who cry like they just got anally raped by an ewok sporting a Burgundy stache and a Bray4lyfe arse tat.

Yeah, those are fricking ridiculous. Normally just freshmen trying too hard that sport the rave hats. Nothing I hate more than the guy who tries too hard and makes all decisions based on if it's frat or not. And that's coming from a fraternity member

Not knowing the limits. Sometimes you just gotta know when to shut the frick up...

I've always been critical of the crowd noise at 'Bama as well until last season. I think it has more to do with BD's design than it does the actual fans.
When I went to the Iron Bowl in Auburn last year, I noticed many Auburn fans in my seating area weren't making any noise, yet the place was still rocking. I also noticed I could hear BOTH bands very well, despite sitting on the other side of the stadium. In Bryant-Denny, you can't hear either band unless you're seating near one of them. That's why I figure it has to have something to do with the way it's built.
Until that point, I always blamed it on the fans.

Most of the crowd that calls in to talk to PAAAWL.
We have some that are detatched from reality and place their entire self worth on a football team.

I dislike the portion of our fanbase who believes Long should have kept Petrino regardless of Petrino's actions.
Some seriously believe Long secretly hates the U of A and he's only here to move to his next big job. They contend Long has done nothing up to this point to hire good coaches, win games or to improve the athletic department. Rather, they contend Long has been waiting for the chance to make a name for himself so he could move to a better job.
The Petrino debacle was that opportunity. Clearly Long viewed this as his chance for personal gain and because Long hates Petrino. It is like they believe that the best way for Long to get a job at another schoola is for him to actually do his job worse because other schools are always looking for lazy ADs who don't want to win or run a profitable athletic department.

Homers and program defenders.
I hate the the fan that always has to feels the need to defend the programs honor when someone has a comment about Saban, processing,REC etc. Especially when visiting other teams message boards.
I hate blind homoers....especially during the Philon and Taylor situations this past recruiting season. I was not a fan of what the coaches did to those recruits

people that get fired up for the A-Day game and cheer like it actually counts. not talking about tailgating or making a day out of it, thats cool, but the ones who take it to a HNL (ho nava level)
also, any male over the age of 18 who wears a jersey to a game. are we to conclude that you are on the team? if so, why is your 5 dollar butt in the stands?
that idiot with all the Bama tats. see you tube video. I rest my case.

Haha, great thread.
1) The figs who care more about what's going on around them than their own personal enjoyment of the game. You know who I'm talking about. There's usually one a section who wants to tell you how to be a "true fan".
fig: "How about you tone down the drinking some. You're always wasted." "How about you sit down." "When I was in school, we were louder."
Me: "How about you shut the frick up and enjoy yourself and the game. Tell your wife to lose 40 pounds and stop being a count."
2) Corps Block. Enough said.
3) TexAgs -- Embarrassing, especially the Football Board.
4) Tradition Nazis -- well we did it like this in the 1960s, so we must do it the same today. If it were up to these people, we'd be the Citadel on the Brazos.
I know it sounds like a lot, but these people really are only 5-10% of the fanbase, bug Gawd Damnit they are a loud 5-10%.
