I am rather tired of reading all the rah rah about Barrett Jones. Don't get me wrong, I think Jones is a fine offensive lineman, but looking back at our oline last year, Warmack and Vlachos were better linemen than Jones. The Outland Trophy award was extremely political with Jones having a 4.0 GPA and going to Haiti on mission trips. Jones got beat many times in the NCG against LSU. I counted more than 10 times that Jones was on the ground.
Jones would be better off to return to RG where he played for two years. Jones is a zone blocker and at OC you have to hit someone every play, not zone block them.
I know I am going to get dogged for these comments but what the hell. Someone needs to say it!

Jones is really annoying to me for some reason. And, it was that way before all that Restoring Order stuff.

Centers are usually are the weakest play strength wise when it comes to the OL, so that's not much different being a zone blocker...
